Yorkville United Methodist Church is excited to announce we will host the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Racine County’s Memory Café program.
The first café will take place at our church located at 17645 Old Yorkville Road on Tuesday, May 14th from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. This program will recur every second Tuesday of each month.
Our Fellowship Hall will serve as the welcoming venue for individuals with memory issues and their care partners. A Memory Café is a comfortable and social gathering that allows people experiencing memory loss and their loved ones to connect, socialize, and build new support networks. It’s a place where they can share stories, music, laugh, enjoy refreshments, and celebrate with other families that are faced with memory loss concerns. Activities will be planned for each session.
We are grateful to our congregation members who volunteered to help us make this happen. Everyone from the community is invited to attend and join in the fun. Please feel free to share this good news with others.
